YouTube adds fact checks to search results on sensitive topics

In recent years YouTube has been doing enough to deal with videos spreading misleading information. YouTube has presented another feature in this regard. YouTube will also show an information panel with search results of sensitive and controversial topics. This text box will appear above the search results and will facilitate factor checking by a Certified Partner.

Currently, this feature has been offered in Hindi for Hindi and English.

Soon it will be presented to other areas and other languages.

According to Wikinews, they will not offer Factor Checking Information Panel for each video because there will be a lot of efforts and much time for doing so. Instead, the feature check feature will be available for videos that may be spreading incorrect information.

YouTube says the informational articles or content that will be included in the Fact Check Information Panel will be finalized to appear in the YouTube Search Risks, linked to a process.
